The Barwon Valley Activity Centre (BVAC) is the largest open spaced, multi purpose stadium south of the Barwon River - it's central location is great for regular sporting competitions and as a training venue. It is well suited for events, trade shows, and markets with it's central location. It is also the venue of the Belmont Sunday Market.

BVAC and it's user groups offer a wide range of activities for the community including; Futsal (indoor soccer), Badminton, Fornightly Skate Night, and Roller Derby as well as junior development programs such as Gymbaroo, Sports Club, Mini Sports, and a wide variety of Futsal and Soccer clinics.

Barwon Valley Golf Club is an 18 hole public inner city golf course, providing low cost golf and driving range facilities to the broader Geelong Community. The course occupies 54 hectares of public open space land known and the Belmont Common, on the banks of the Barwon River and only kilometres from central Geelong.

Waurn Ponds Skate Park has a street course, bowls, steel vert ramp, killer spine ramp and BMX dirt jump track.

The City of Greater Geelong strongly advises the wearing of helmets and padding when using its Skate Parks, and enforces compulsory wearing of helmets at all skate events.
