Villawood a STAR with forest donation

forestSTARSolidifying its place at the forefront of sustainable development, Villawood Properties has recently donated 109 hectares of forested land to the Victorian Government.

The donation is a direct result of Villawood’s forestSTAR program and part of the Positive Change initiative. Initially commenced in April 2008, under forestSTAR for every block of land purchased in a Villawood community, an equivalent portion of forested land is being donated back to Victoria’s State Forests.

Formally accepted by the Hon. Gavin Jennings Minister for the Environment, Climate Change and Innovation on Friday 21 May, the donated land is located within the Greater Bendigo National Park and will assist in preserving Victoria’s natural forest areas.
